Greeks.....

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned But hell’s heat is formed when an Alpha is born Extreme degrees that bring flames to frozen nitrogen I will never cry aloud, nor shall I ever wince again From then to men, pole to pole, black & gold saved us When the light was darkness and egos betrayed us Dean...raised us to positions upright and unity formed Seven stones and my brick, brotherhood never torn Frozen cold as they molded my shape for the fire Of placing the world on my shoulders & bruhs even higher God anointed my passage, sand tore flesh as I crawled & in the chambers of Pyramids my name scribed on the wall Stand tall, head up, eyes never piercing the ground The history’s in my heart and my knowledge is sound I go forth as a leader, never backward steps or codes broken I’m an exception to all rules, recognize all symbols and tokens Eyes glazed in terrordomes, never allow foreign links in the chain My history is my life and in it my brothers are sustained. BrokenHearted: The Phoenix, Vol. 1

In these lonely days and frigid nights I Die courageously or so I think or surmise That my bravery is bravado and in these Moments before my soul eludes the withered Grasp from my human temple I hear only The sound of her, running her fingers over My face and tilting that lean neck to the side As the brilliance from the rose scented candles Dances across her eyes as though I plucked Two stars from another galaxy and created the World’s only celestial contacts and in my dying Moment she whispers love everlasting and as the Flames char my body into fine powdered dust that Mixes with the wind and scatters as a foreign spice Into the bowels of the Mother of the ocean, my fears Rise before my eyes through the flames and I wince; Not for the heat or the terrible stench of my burning Soul or the life that was and is now never more but For the resurrection of my soul as the remnants of my essence Are swept together once more and I rise as a renewed Creature destined to again witness her voice ...

Celestial Gifts...

He gave me a pen. After the glorious millennium of creating my soul to fit perfectly in His woven tapestry of existence, He gave me a pen. Before the womb welcomed me into this evil place of fire and brimstone, of regimes and oil wells, He simply gave me a pen. He placed in my heart words of promise and wisdom, pleasure and pain; words of triumph and words steeped in struggle and tears that bring a bitter elixir to the lips. From my pen I can reign as the sublime prince awaiting the inheritance of the kingdom of Heaven or I can wrestle Life in the tattered clothing of paupers and hide my face as lepers. The pen was given in grace and etched with authority; responsibility crowns my pen and Light pervades its ink. The slow motion of pen dancing atop rugged papyrus succeeds the jagged tools and poisonous inks that transform pyramid walls from earthen easels to Life-soaked canvasses of past and future. All roads lead unto death when I travel from the East and forsake the pen He has meti...

Unknown to Many...

Cold breezes blow boldly, low feelings of losses No passion, no action, serene scenery glosses Tossed by swirling emotions, lonesome in this life Pretend strife is not visible like a bridegroom & no wife Because the standard is this, a man stands beside the Pit Can’t deny the riff as words of love die on my lips Tried & I tripped, fell over, but never in love’s shadow Tragic, no warm magic surrounded & I lost the battle Dazzled in my own light, not seeing the radiance of One So I traveled alone, not knowing I was only a torch to the Sun Deplored to run and falter, halted but I refrained to see Sought the other half of my soul, but she never came to me Remaining free, but true freedom lies in long hair locks That shimmer with womanhood and who holds a box In her bosom, for me and our union shall never part She will walk beside me and cherish my heart. As the silence from the keyboard dies miserably, Heather Headley croons “In My Mind” as though her soul had dined with ...

Blood stains in candlelight, hands braised in utter strife Delayed haze on a summer night, covers displays of stuttered life Back broken like poultry victims of voodoo congregations Psalms of nations, destroyed men wail in infinite denominations Boys declare independence, cutting cords from mothers’ wombs Years later the shades hasten, paraded shackled to stony tombs Sweet words and sweeter scents confuse brain cell firing Even Satan admires angels, constant gazing makes Hell tiring Hardened men lie ravaged, helpless as babies in stolen strollers It starts warm, grows colder, as frozen nitro in seas polar Corroded rings grope fingers, like necklaces in Amistad No cure for coerced vows, from Swedish teas to balms of Gilead Hills of sod, domestic mortars crash lazily in trailer parks Reunited clans in summer shine, push blood and fade the heart A timeless enemy, greatest foe to stand amongst the tides Creator of mindless armies, trapping men with lungs of lies Avoid the daylight, they ri...
