I wonder if the loss of a soul causes a momentary ripple A lapse in time between earth and heaven The angels pause in split seconds The demons momentarily cease their destruction Does the wailing of those trapped in the netherworld decline Indeed life is filled with small deaths and disappointments If the fabric of the world is connected to the Creator and The eternal blackness of the bottomless pit is from His hands And the souls of black folks and those with black hearts are Intertwined with the breath of the Creator Then the evil of death and the refreshment of life connect all Of us.
