I came and stood before the throne
To see what God had in store.
I knelt in prayer to ask this day
That he simply give me the courage
To endure.
I ask not for my vision to be perfect
I ask not that my thinking by clear
I ask not that the path be straight
I simply ask that this day He grant
Me the strength to endure another day.
I ask not for the million dollar lottery
I ask not for achievements and success
I ask not to be exalted in stature before men
I simply ask that He guides me to another
Rising of the sun.
His favor is sufficient. His grace is all-reaching.
Simply…I ask to endure as an iron pillar.
“For, behold, I have made thee this day a defensed city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.” Jeremiah 1:18.
